Solar Quotes and Installation Guide

We offer free, no obligation quotes on solar installations and we understand that our customers value being informed when making  decisions.

For this reason we’ve outlined our solar quote and installation process from end to end, so you know what to expect.

Understanding your needs:

Energy Bill Analysis

Your current energy (electricity) bill helps us to work out the most cost effective solution.  We like to understand how you use energy in your home and how many Kwh (kilowatt hours) per day you are currently using.

Analysing your Energy Bill and asking you questions will help us determine what type of solar system you will need to cover your bill.

We take into consideration:

  • Your work hours and whether you work from home.
  • When you are most likely to use more power.
  • What is the difference in % between day time and night time use.

Site Inspection

A site inspection is extremely helpful to understand your needs as each home is unique.

When completing a site inspection we look at:

  • The size of your roof, its orientation to the sun, angle and construction (tile, tin etc.)
  • Your meter box to ensure it is suitable for your meter to be changed over.
  • Your cable sizes are big enough to handle the extra power.

We also like to provide information on ways to increase energy efficiency in other parts of your home, such as hot water timers, energy saving devices that work with the solar, education on when to use high energy devices e.g. pool pumps and other energy saving solutions.

Consultation and Education

Once a site inspection is complete our Solar Energy Consultants and technical experts will guide you through the options available when choosing a system to suit you.

To develop a solution tailored to your needs, this can include discussion on:

  • Solar panels
  • Inverters
  • Batteries
  • Off grid systems
  • Solar system size

This process is a two way street, so please feel free to ask any questions.   We are happy to explain any tricky concepts or answer any curly questions you may have.

If you require finance or are considering finance for your solar solution this can also be discussed at this time.

Final Quote Provided

Modergy will provide you with a final solar quote (free of charge and no obligation) and is happy to answer any questions you may have before proceeding with your system.

Implementing a Modergy solar solution:

Z

Grid Approval

Once a deposit is received Modergy will apply for grid approval.  This is the process of informing your energy supplier (Energex, Ergon, Essential Energy etc, depending on your location) of our intentions to install your system and gain approval.

Solar Installation

Once the grid approval is complete we will contact you to schedule in the best time and date to complete your solar installation.

On installation day the Modergy team will arrive on site to install your agreed solution.  Upon arrival we re-confirm with our customers the location we will be installing their panels, inverter and batteries (if applicable) as well as answering any questions before the installation is begun.

Once installation is complete we will walk our customers through the important information about their new system.

This will include:

  • Operation and shutdown procedures
  • How to monitor and keep track of the system performance.

At this point please feel free to ask any further questions, we want you to get the best out of your investment.

Once the system has been professionally installed, is fully operational and our customer is satisfied the remaining payment is due.

Final Details and our Commitment to Quality

Modergy will make an application for your energy meter change over. Once this has been completed you can start to receive your feed in tariff (money back from energy you send to the grid).

We provide an after sales pack including warranty information and maintenance schedule details.

Modergy is an ethically-minded, skilled electrical company and remains there to assist with your questions, warranty and after sales service if required.  Please get in touch if your solar system is experiencing problems. The longer you leave it you’re missing out on savings on your energy bill.

We hope this provides insight into the quote process when dealing with Modergy.
